What sets the design of Gilles Schmitt apart from other architectural and product design firms is the fact that we truly design every aspect for our projects, we don't purchase supplies and furniture at a local store; all the furniture, lighting etc is envisioned, designed and created by us. This basically means that our work is very personalized and all objects flow together in a perfectly well measured surrounding with a harmonious atmosphere. We also are able to design and provide objects made out of glass or lead crystal. For example, we have designed all the lightings, vases, tables, chairs, menus, bathrooms, silverware and even the extraordinary centre lamp which is the main piece of the space of a famous five star gastronomic restaurant called "Le Capucin Gourmand" in Nancy in the East of France (President J.F. Kennedy, Queen Elisabeth II, the Japanese Emperor ate there when they visited France).(see under "design environnement"
